Events

Event development, planning and management is my forte. With a 20 year career in not-for-profit and B2B events, I know the value of events is far more than the activity itself. It’s the journey you take the guest on and the carefully crafted experience that they have, which guarantees impact and a strategic outcome.

Case Study

The Opportunity

When approached by WWF to work with the Philanthropy & Special Events team on strategy, process and impact, I knew this was a project I wanted to get my teeth into.

I started by meeting with the team to understand their successes, challenges and priorities. It became clear that there were 3 elements to the project.

The Task

  1. Developing a bespoke events toolkit to support internal processes and external requirements.
  2. Creating a strategy to turn special events into an income generating activity, whilst supporting wider philanthropic objectives.
  3. The launch of a new programme of events to meet the strategic aims of the department – ultimately a lasting legacy and impact from the delivery of a tailored programme of events.

The Outcome

The team were equipped with an event toolkit encompassing all stages of event planning, delivery and evaluation, which they could use to deliver the new strategy and begin working on a busy calendar of activity. What does this look like in reality? An exclusive London event for philanthropists passionate about bringing nature back to life.

“Lizzie and I have worked together on some ground-breaking, high profile charity events over the past 12 years. She is meticulously organised and efficient and can deliver at the highest levels at great pace, with a particular knowledge of working with high value audiences, major donors and people of profile.

Lizzie has a knack of ‘bringing people together behind her vision’ and getting the best from them whether it’s a project team, a committee of volunteers or suppliers. She can turn her hand to creating a focused event experience and communications journey that delivers an outstanding guest experience that both meets immediate objectives and builds long term support.

Lizzie also led a piece of work at both Marie Curie and WWF to develop and implement a bespoke event management toolkit that is aligned to our internal processes and systems and designed to ensure events meet our strategic needs. This is an invaluable legacy to our team.

With a calm, steady approach almost any event opportunity is in safe hands with Lizzie.”
